Guide for Presenting Your Paper via Adobe Connect

Welcome to the 6th IEEE ICECIE 2024! To ensure a smooth virtual presentation experience via Adobe Connect, please follow the steps and guidelines below.

1. Preparing for the Presentation

  • Check Your Equipment
    • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
    • Use a laptop/PC with a functioning microphone and camera.
    • A headset is recommended to minimize background noise.
  • Prepare Your Presentation File
    • Use the official slide template: Download Here.
    • Save your presentation in PDF format.
  • Practice Your Presentation
    • Rehearse your timing (each presenter is allocated 13 minutes, including 2 minutes for Q&A).

2. Platform Information

  • Accessing the Link
    • The conference will be hosted using Adobe Connect. You will receive the meeting link, along with your login credentials, via email on November 24th at 7:30 AM.
  • Logging In
    • Enter your Username and Password.

The username, email address of the presenter, and password will be the paper number. This information will be system-generated and emailed to all participants on November 24th.

Since all usernames have been pre-configured for the system, if you encounter any login errors, please notify the conference secretariat immediately so your registration in the system can be processed promptly.

  • Technical Setup
  • Run the Adobe Connect diagnostic test in advance: Test Link.
    • Allow Adobe Connect to access your camera and microphone.

3. Presentation Options

A. Pre-Recorded Video Presentation

  • If you have submitted your pre-recorded video:
    • The video will be played automatically at the scheduled time, as per the conference program.
    • Please be online during your session to respond to participant or committee questions via chat or live audio.

B. Live Presentation

  • If you have not submitted a pre-recorded video:
    • Prepare your presentation in PDF format.
    • Join the session 30 minutes before your scheduled presentation.
    • Share your screen during the session to present your slides live.
      • You can share your screen using the “Share My Screen” option.
  • Handling Questions
    • After your presentation, the session chair will manage a 2-minute Q&A.

Tips for a Successful Presentation

  • Ensure a quiet environment during your session.
  • Use a professional virtual or plain background.
  • Keep your presentation slides simple and visually engaging.
  • Have a backup copy of your slides on email/USB.
